DESCRIPTION:\n \nIt’s time for the annual Cambridge University Football Club PowerHouseGames. The previous events have been a huge success and we are very much looking forward to the squads’ involvement once again. It will take place again at the wonderful University Sports Centre on Friday 29th September 2023 bringing together a community of several local schools, rugby club members and corporate volunteers.\nYou can read about last year’s event by clicking the banner below.\n\n\n\n\nWe are very much looking forward to the club’s involvement once again.\n\n\n \nWe have yet to announce which schools will be joining us on the day so if your school would like to be part of this fantastic event please get in touch ( https://www.power2inspire.org.uk/contact-us/ ). We bring together students from primary and secondary schools in the state and private sector as well as a special needs school who will join the men’s and women’s rugby blues squads in playing inclusive and adapted games such as boccia, new age kurling, and touch rugby.  Twelve teams of six will play in colourful T-shirts, learning about inclusion, community cohesion and teamwork.\nWe have also yet to announce a corporate sponsor for the event. Our sponsors have a fantastic team morning providing volunteers to be team captains, leading the students through the games and learning lots too about the fun of inclusion and community cohesion.\n \n\n \n
