SUMMARY:Cambridge University Rackets Club PowerHouseGames 2024
DESCRIPTION:We are excited to announce a brand new PowerHouseGames with the Cambridge University Rackets Club. The event will take place on Friday 4th October 2024 at the brilliant University Sports Centre, bringing together a community of several local schools, rackets sports club members and corporate volunteers.\n \n\n \nWe have yet to announce which schools will be joining us on the day so if your school would like to be part of this fantastic event please get in touch ( https://www.power2inspire.org.uk/contact-us/ ). We bring together students from primary and secondary schools in the state and private sector as well as a special needs school who will join the men’s and women’s rugby blues squads in playing inclusive and adapted games such as boccia, new age kurling, and touch rugby.  Twelve teams of six will play in colourful T-shirts, learning about inclusion, community cohesion and teamwork.\nBritish IT consulting company AVEVA have agreed to be the corporate sponsor for the event. They invited John Willis to be involved at their team building day last year and were so intrigued by the PowerHouseGames that they are bringing volunteers who will have a fantastic morning as team captains, leading the students through the games and learning lots too about the fun of inclusion and community cohesion.\n \n\n \n
