DESCRIPTION:\nWe are delighted to announce our first ever PowerHouseGames with Murray Edwards College and Peterhouse College in Cambridge! The event will take place on Thursday the 6th March 2025 at the University Sports Centre in partnership with global genomics and human health leader, illumina! It will bring a brand new community together from local schools and other partner organisations.\n\n \nWe have yet to announce which schools will be joining us on the day so if your school would like to be part of this fantastic event please get in touch ( https://www.power2inspire.org.uk/contact-us/ ). We bring together students from primary and secondary schools in the state and private sector as well as a special needs school who will join the men’s and women’s rugby blues squads in playing inclusive and adapted games such as boccia, new age kurling, and sitting netball.  Twelve teams of six will play in colourful T-shirts, learning about inclusion, community cohesion and teamwork.\nWe are sure illumina will also have a fantastic team morning providing volunteers to be team captains, leading the students through the games and learning lots too about the fun of inclusion and community cohesion. illumina have worked with us on a number of different occasions.
