Cambridgeshire Festival of Tennis 2022

As part of the Cambridgeshire Festival of Tennis (to be held at Cambridge Lawn Tennis Club from 21.8.22 until 27.8.22) there will be demonstrations of 3 kinds of adapted tennis on the morning of the last day of the festival Saturday 27th August. There will be opportunities for everyone to participate in these events.

1. At 9.30 CLTC member John Willis, who was born without fully formed arms and legs, will explain how he plays tennis and there will be opportunities to play doubles with and against John using the adapted rules.
2. At 10am there will be opportunities to play VI ( visually impaired) tennis. Everyone can have a go at playing blind tennis (using blindfolds) as well as other kinds of VI tennis by wearing special glasses which replicate a variety of sight conditions.
3. At 10.30am there will be a chance to play walking tennis. This session will be led by CLTC tennis manager Teresa Catlin.
