Over the weekend of 10th and 11th of August 2024, two teams from the Freemasons London Lodge No.108 took on their own 108 Challenge, walking a total of 108km.
One team started at the Thames Barrier in London, walking through the city to Hampton Court, while the other team embarked on their journey from Marlow, passing through Windsor on their way to Hampton Court.
The two teams finally met after covering 54km each to finish the challenge. Their efforts resulted in over £6,000 raised!
It’s efforts like this that make us proud to have such amazing supporters of our mission – inclusion through sport. We extend our heartfelt thanks to the Freemasons London Lodge No.108 and to everyone who contributed to this fantastic fundraiser.
Paul Chatfield, Lodge 108, Freemason, said:
“Mission accomplished! It was fantastic to bring together so many freemasons, all in the name of charity. I am thrilled with the amount we have been able to raise so far. I have known John and Power2Inspire for a long time and the work they do in ensuring sport is accessible for all is outstanding and I am proud that these funds raised will make a real difference.
I will be continuing to fundraise in February where I will be holding a black-tie event and auction and hope to raise even more.
Thanks to everyone who donated – it was tough, but so worth it!”
