UPDATE: 7th August 2023
Sadly Power2Inspire has had to postpone this summer’s Festival of Inclusive Golf. We are actively looking for a new date and will update this page once we have further information. Please check back soon for the new date!
Power2Inspire is delighted to be partnering with Cambridgeshire Area Golf Union to co-host the annual Festival of Inclusive Golf!
The event will take place at Kingsway Golf Centre’s beautiful 9 hole par 33 course in Melbourn, South Cambridgeshire. It is a wonderful place to play, whatever your experience and ability.
If you’ve never played before or would like to get better, then come along between 12-2pm for some free coaching and instruction on ball swing, putting and chipping!
From 2pm, 10 teams (there is limited space so do sign up early) of four will play a round of golf, under “Texas Scramble” rules, which ensure everyone contributes to the team’s score. Each team must have at least one disabled player, so everyone is welcome!
And, after all the golfing fun, Kingsway are kindly providing a BBQ, as the prizes are announced.
Best of all, it’s completely FREE!

Texas Scramble Rules
- Everyone drives their ball.
- The team selects the ball they wish to play (usually the best shot).
- The other three team members move their ball alongside the chosen ball. Everyone plays their second shot (with their ball) from that spot.
- Repeat until a ball goes in the hole.
- Each team scores each hole so everyone participates and you play as a team. Lowest overall score wins.
- A wrinkle! Each team must use all team members’ drives twice. There are 9 holes so one player can use his/her drive three times. But think when choosing whose drive to play – tactics will play a part!
