Photography Policy

We are proud of the work we do and want to share it as widely as possible. Consequently, we take (or arrange to have taken) photographs, videos or other forms of recording (hereafter “photos”) at all our events, where permitted.

We will always:

  • Notify all participants if we are taking photos;
  • Explain in any notice where or how we intend to use the photos;
  • Offer all participants, whether they have paid or not, whether participants, staff or volunteers the opportunity:
    • to decline to have their photo (or photos of their children) taken;
    • at any time, to have their photo withdrawn from any website or social media platform over which we have sole control;
    • to remove from further runs of printed material such photos, but not from any material that has in good faith already been printed with consent.

At each event we host (or co-host) we will request photo consent in these (or similar) terms:

“Photographs and/or video will be taken at today’s event. By taking part in this event you grant the event organisers full rights to use the images resulting from the photography/video filming, and any reproductions or adaptations of the images for fundraising, publicity or other purposes to help achieve our and our event partners’ aims. This might include (but is not limited to), the right to use them in printed and online publicity, social media, press releases and funding applications.

“If you prefer for you, your child or a person on your registration form, not to be photographed, please indicate so on the Registration form or talk to a Power2Inspire representative. Please note that unless you specifically indicate otherwise such consent will be deemed to have been given.

“If you would like to see your images, or would like us to delete them, please contact us at info@power2inspire.org.uk.”
