VISA PowerHouseGames 2024

We are delighted to announce our third annual PowerHouseGames with VISA, one of our Power2Inspire partners! The event will take place on the 26th June 2024 at the Bisham Abbey National Sports Centre!! It will bring a brand new community together from local schools and other partner organisations.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Everyone will come together to play inclusive and adapted games such as boccia, new age kurling, and walking football.  Twelve teams of six will play in colourful T-shirts, learning about inclusion, community cohesion and teamwork.

Canterbury Christ Church University PowerHouseGames 2024

We are delighted to announce our first ever PowerHouseGames with Canterbury Christ Church University, part of our growth into Kent and the South East! The event will take place on the 3rd July 2024 at the fantastic Polo Farm Sports Centre.

 

 

 

We have yet to announce which schools will be joining us on the day so if your school would like to be part of this fantastic event please get in touch. We bring together students from primary and secondary schools in the state and private sector as well as a special needs school who will join the University squads in playing inclusive and adapted games such as boccia, new age kurling, and sitting netball. Twelve teams of six will play in colourful T-shirts, learning about inclusion, community cohesion and teamwork.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Canterbury Christ Church University students will lead us through the games as we all learn lots about the fun of inclusion and community cohesion. We are sure it's going to be a brilliant event


Hawks and Ospreys PowerHouseGames 2025

After our inaugural event in 2022 we are delighted to be back with the Cambridge Hawks and Ospreys Clubs to run a PowerHouseGames on the 31st January 2025! It will take place at the Cambridge University Sports Centre and will again bring the community together.

 

We are yet to announce which schools will be joining the club for this fantastic event, so watch this space and we will update it when we know more. If you would like your school / college to take part then please contact us.

School students will join the university students in playing inclusive and adapted games such as boccia, new age kurling, and touch rugby.  Twelve teams of six will play in colourful T-shirts, learning about inclusion, community cohesion and teamwork.

We are also looking for a corporate sponsor for the event. A sponsor will provide volunteers to be team captains, leading the students through the games and learning lots too about the fun of inclusion and community cohesion. If you would like your workplace / company to get involved then please get in touch.

 


Leicester Tigers Foundation PowerHouseGames 2024

We are delighted to announce our third annual PowerHouseGames with the Leicester Tigers Foundation! The event will take place on the 12th June 2024 at the home of Leicester Tigers, Welford Road Stadium!! It will bring the local community together from schools including Leicester Grammar School and other partner organisations.

This year we are delighted to be partnering with Samworth Brothers for this event.

Everyone will come together to play inclusive and adapted games such as boccia, new age kurling, and touch rugby.  Twelve teams of six will play in colourful T-shirts, learning about inclusion, community cohesion and teamwork.

Festival of Inclusive Sport Milton 2024

 

We are delighted to announce a brand new partnership with Cambridge Sport Lakes helping us launch an all new Festival of Inclusive Sport, happening this July at the fabulous Milton Country Park in Cambridge. Come and join us for this exciting event.

Between 10am and 1pm on Sunday 7th July we are hosting not one, but FOUR different inclusive events for you to try.

  1. SuperSensory1K - run, walk, or wheel around a 1km course exploring all five sensory stations. This will take you around the southern end of Milton Country Park on a 1km long loop.
  2. You Can Bike Too - Try our accessible cycles on a loop around Todd's Pit
  3. Boccia - Try this Olympic sport in our sensory garden area
  4. Blindfold Trail - Attempt to navigate a trail without using your eyes!

You can arrive at anytime and take part in one, two or all of the activities!

Absolutely EVERYBODY is welcome to come and join in, no matter what your ability.
