Middlesex Cricket PowerHouseGames 2024

 

After last year's brilliant Games, we are delighted to announce that the Middlesex Cricket PowerHouseGames will return for 2024! The event will take place on Friday the 22nd March 2024 at the incredible Lord's Cricket Ground, the home of English Cricket, in St John's Wood, London.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

We will be announcing the schools taking part very shortly. Students will join members of Middlesex cricket in playing inclusive and adapted games such as boccia, new age kurling, and kwik cricket.  Twelve teams of six will play in colourful T-shirts, learning about inclusion, community cohesion and teamwork.

We also hope to announce a corporate sponsor who will provide volunteers to help lead the games. If your company is interested in being involved with this fantastic inclusive event, please do get in touch.

University of Warwick PowerHouseGames 2024

We are delighted to announce our second PowerHouseGames with the University of Warwick, one of our newest partners! The event will take place on the 8th February 2024 at the fabulous University Sports and Wellness Hub.

We have yet to announce which schools will be joining us on the day so if your school would like to be part of this fantastic event please get in touch. We bring together students from primary and secondary schools in the state and private sector as well as a special needs school who will join the University squads in playing inclusive and adapted games such as boccia, new age kurling, and sitting netball. Twelve teams of six will play in colourful T-shirts, learning about inclusion, community cohesion and teamwork.


University of Roehampton PowerHouseGames 2023

We are delighted to announce our first PowerHouseGames with the University of Roehampton, one of our newest partners! The event will take place on the 14th November 2023 at the University. We can also announce that the games will be supported by Insight Investment. Our sponsors have a fantastic team morning providing volunteers to be team captains, leading the students through the games and learning lots too about the fun of inclusion and community cohesion. We are very excited.

Ely College Games2Inspire 2023

Led by students from Year 12 we are very excited to announce the Ely College Games2Inspire for 2023. 60 Year 7 students will participate in different inclusive sports, such as boccia, new age kurling and goalball.

We are sure they will have a fantastic day.

Students, teachers, and volunteers will focus on the spirit of inclusivity and the opportunity to learn about and participate in adaptive sports. We hope students will discover new sports and develop a greater appreciation for the abilities of disabled athletes.


Cambridge University Football Club PowerHouseGames 2023

 

It’s time for the annual Cambridge University Football Club PowerHouseGames. The previous events have been a huge success and we are very much looking forward to the squads’ involvement once again. It will take place again at the wonderful University Sports Centre on Friday 29th September 2023 bringing together a community of several local schools, rugby club members and corporate volunteers.

We bring together students from primary and secondary schools in the state and private sector as well as a special needs school who will join the men’s and women’s rugby blues squads in playing inclusive and adapted games such as boccia, new age kurling, and touch rugby.  Twelve teams of six will play in colourful T-shirts, learning about inclusion, community cohesion and teamwork.

We have also yet to announce a corporate sponsor for the event. If your company would like to take part through, sponsorship, providing volunteers we would love to hear from you. Our sponsors have a fantastic team morning providing volunteers to be team captains, leading the students through the games and learning lots too about the fun of inclusion and community cohesion.
